Project Overview:

Looking for a UX Research Lead who would be part of the data management domain responsible for protecting the data, analyzing, and understanding the tools, infrastructure, and services to manage the data.

Must Skills Required:

  • Highly technical
  • Strong stakeholder management
  • Strong leadership skills to guide the team, work closely with designers, and understand the research foundation well

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of SAS
  • Understanding of the data management life cycle
  • Experience in service design
  • Knowledge of discovery research
  • Experience in design strategy
  • Workshop planning & consultation

Basic Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years' experience as a Design Researcher in a business or consulting capacity
  • At least 2 years' experience managing project teams
  • Track record of working with teams of various stakeholders, including designers, researchers, strategists, product managers, tech partners, and senior leadership
  • Understanding of the difference between Design Research and Market Research with experience collaborating on initiatives between these teams
  • Experience guiding teams to employ the best research methods for the problem, employing strategies to address stakeholder pushback

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or equivalent professional experience
  • 5+ years of usability testing and user experience research
  • Experience teaching design thinking, human-centered design, and design research

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct user research at all stages from discovery to validation, using a variety of methods to understand our customers and their relationship to our products
  • Approach business and customer problems with user goals in mind
  • Understand and apply the right quantitative and qualitative methods given the circumstances
  • Actively monitor and analyze research, data, and trends from internal sources, academic institutions, and industry reports to inform and improve our approach
  • Collaborate to define intent, development, testing, and refinement of prototypes, as well as drive for future design and strategy based on metrics (quantitative and qualitative) gathered
  • Distill findings into clearly articulated and actionable insights that stakeholders can use
  • Present research plans and findings to various audiences, from designers to business executives to get buy-in
  • Guide teams on how best to apply findings using illustrative frameworks
  • Create energy and investment in research by sharing early and often with different audiences
  • Help designers and non-designers understand and apply research findings
  • Effectively manage multiple stakeholders’ interests, priorities, and expectations and lead teams to craft a rigorous and relevant research agenda

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
