The Lead, IOS Software Developer is crucial to Prodege and plays a strategic part in scaling Prodege’s mobile development efforts while fostering innovation and quality in iOS projects by leading and optimizing the performance of an offshore iOS development team while ensuring the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and user-centric applications. This role will set and enforce technical standards, including best practices in code architecture and performance optimization, ensuring alignment with Prodege’s product vision. The role also requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to harmonize technical and business objectives, while driving continuous improvement in both development practices and team efficiency.

Primary Objectives:

  • Leadership & Team Management: Effectively lead and manage the offshore iOS development team to deliver high-quality, on-time projects.
  • Technical Excellence & Best Practices: Set and enforce iOS development best practices, ensuring the highest standards in coding, architecture, and user experience.
  • Collaboration & Cross-functional Alignment: Ensure technical solutions align with broader business goals by collaborating with product, design, and technical teams.
  • Scalability & Innovation: Drive innovation and ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with Prodege's long-term mobile development strategy.
  • Project Execution & Accountability: Oversee project execution, ensuring timely delivery and transparent reporting to senior leadership.

Qualifications:

  • Five or more (5+) years of experience in iOS development, with a strong understanding of Swift, Objective-C, and the iOS ecosystem.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing offshore teams.
  • Expertise in design patterns, iOS frameworks, and Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines.
  • Strong experience in code review and setting coding standards for quality, security, and maintainability.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly and effectively.
  • Experience with agile methodologies and tools like JIRA or Trello for project management.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and App Store deployment processes.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, balancing technical and business needs.

Pay Transparency:

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $130,000 to $160,000. The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include, but are not limited to; the type and length of experience within the job, type and length of experience within the industry, the type and length of knowledge and skills for the position, education, training, etc. Prodege is a multi-state employer and final compensation within this range could be impacted by work location. Please note that the compensation details listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, equity, or benefits.
