They are seeking a Manager of Software Engineering to lead a team of talented engineers and help drive the development of their healthcare platform.
As the Manager of Software Engineering, you will oversee a team of software engineers responsible for building and maintaining cloud-based healthcare solutions. You will collaborate closely with product, DevOps, and security teams to deliver high-quality, scalable, and secure applications. Your leadership and technical expertise will ensure that our platform meets the needs of healthcare providers while adhering to regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of software engineers, providing mentorship, technical guidance, and performance feedback.
- Oversee the design, development, and deployment of cloud-based healthcare applications, ensuring they are scalable, secure, and compliant with healthcare regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, DevOps, and security, to deliver solutions that meet healthcare industry standards (HIPAA, HITECH, etc.).
- Drive the adoption of best practices in software development, including agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native technologies.
- Ensure the timely delivery of projects, managing resources and priorities to meet business goals.
- Maintain a strong focus on healthcare data privacy, security, and interoperability standards such as FHIR and HL7.
- Help the team troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to cloud infrastructure and software development.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, promoting learning, collaboration, and innovation within the team.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in healthcare and cloud computing to ensure the team remains at the forefront of innovation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 7+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.
- Proven experience in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud-native technologies (Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, etc.).
- Strong understanding of healthcare regulations such as HIPAA, HITECH, and FHIR.
- Hands-on experience with software development best practices, agile methodologies, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- A strong focus on quality, security, and regulatory compliance in software development, particularly within healthcare environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Cloud certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, or Google Cloud Professional Engineer.
- Experience with healthcare-specific technologies, including EHR systems, HL7, and FHIR.
- Familiarity with healthcare data analytics, machine learning, or AI applications.
- Prior experience leading distributed or remote teams.
