The Role:
Cognizant is looking for an experienced and innovative Senior Java developer to serve our diverse base of global clients. As a member of our team, you will build cutting edge, cloud-based software that powers modern business. An ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working in a diverse, collaborative, geographically distributed team.
Location: Atlanta, GA
Cognizant will only consider applicants for this position who are legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship (H-1B, L-1B, L-1A, etc.)
Responsibilities:
- Above 8 years of experience working in a hands-on role and currently playing a senior / lead developer role
- Must be an expert in JAVA and spring boot tech stack developing components and creating/consuming REST APIs.
- Good project experience on cloud (AWS) experience, Openshift experience is required.
- Have worked on web application development (Angular) is desired
- Zelle / RTP – BFS payment knowledge experience – Preferred
- Have thorough knowledge on Unit testing using JUnits. Have implemented Swagger UI in REST Services testing.
- Have setup pipeline in GitLab using tools like GIT, SONAR, black duck etc., is added advantage. Strong technical leadership skills and having worked on Agile teams.
Qualifications:
- JAVA FSE with above 8+ years
- Hands on experience in JAVA latest versions, Spring boot, Microservices, SQL
- Good knowledge in Kubernetes, Docker, AWS is required
- Minimum 1+ years of experience in OpenShift is desired
- BFS payment experience – Zelle/RTP associates are preferred

Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $81,337K – $163,000K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
