Job Requirements / Description

We are looking for a Manager, Venue Technology to support the core technical platforms and systems for Intuit Dome's suite of hospitality products in order to deliver elite entertainment experiences in our brand-new arena. In this role, you will lead multi-disciplinary teams to define, scope, plan and deliver features and systems; provide estimation guidance, project and resource planning; and lead mobile development teams to deliver monthly launches on a regular cadence.

To be highly considered, you should have 5 or more years of software development lifecycle experience, a deep understanding and proficiency in building Android and iOS mobile apps, and a passion for sports and technology.

What You Will Do

  • Interact daily with our product managers to understand our domain and manage technical solutions that push us forward
  • Able to identify weaknesses or waste in designs, processes, and relationships and develop plans to improve
  • Motivated to learn about and impact new markets, create new experiences, and expand the boundaries of the venue ecosystem
  • Understand multiple projects and sustainment efforts
  • Coordinate with partners on timelines and scope to ensure deliverables for all work streams are met
  • Manage and participate in the software development lifecycle, including the planning, development, testing, release, and dev ops/live ops stages
  • Partner with venue QA ensuring delivery of quality release candidates, timely bug fixes and collaboration in defect prioritization
  • Provide a mentoring environment for engineers with peer reviews, career guidance, and performance management
  • Partner with business stakeholders to deliver features on time
  • Collaborate and manage tech estimates of work and staffing levels
  • Continuously learn and keep up to date with emerging technologies to evaluate impact to business and member value
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable and reliable cloud solutions.
  • Work closely with technology counterparts to align mobile, web, on-prem & cloud initiatives with overall IT strategy and architecture.
  • Design and deliver complex mobile, web, on-prem and cloud infrastructure solutions.
  • Comply with the change management policies to ensure that routine, comprehensive and emergency changes are logged and approved.
  • Assist in the implementation and ongoing use of DevSecOps tools and processes.
  • Provide support for data related services and deployments within Azure.
  • Contribute to the creation and testing of contingency plans including business continuity, disaster recovery, and incident response.
  • Work with 3rd party vendors as needed.
  • Complete any special projects assigned in the given deadline.
  • Develop reports and presentations for management as needed.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to other IT team members.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging technologies in dev ops/live ops.

Your Background, Skills and Experience

  • BS or BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience
  • Experience with C#/C++Unity, Python, Swift, Kotlin
  • Working knowledge of Javascript
  • Strong knowledge of mobile design principles, patterns, and best practices
  • Passionate about technology, including the unglamorous resiliency, performance, and sustainment aspects. Understanding of Git version control, CICD, QA, Mobile app store review processes
  • Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills and experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams of product managers, designers, and engineers
  • Be organized and able to remain productive even when you have multiple deliverables
  • Experience with Azure's portfolio of products, certification preferred
  • Experience with multiple mobile platforms
  • Full-stack development experience
  • Experience working in the hospitality, travel, or entertainment industry preferred
  • Excellent understanding of cloud security concepts and hands-on experience with security controls and practices in a cloud environment.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to communicate with others in the company across technical and non-technical roles.

Compensation

  • The range for this position is $100,000 - $125,000 annual compensation. Compensation package offered will be based on multiple individualized factors, including a candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
