Your Role:
As a Principal Network Security Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and implementing secure information systems for our products. You'll be an expert in system security and infrastructure, with a deep understanding of federal security guidelines and advanced networking principles. You'll work cross-functionally with developers and quality assurance teams to ensure our systems are secure, reliable, and running at peak performance. What You'll Do:
- Design, develop, and implement secure information systems that align with our products and federal security requirements.
- Contribute to system architecture design, ensuring seamless integration with infrastructure components.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to optimize system performance, uptime, and security.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers and QA, to ensure smooth system integration.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, technologies, and advancements in network security and implement best practices.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, design specifications, and guidelines.
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and technical challenges.
What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or Master's degree with relevant experience).
- 8+ years of experience in network security engineering, with a deep understanding of information systems, hardware-software interactions, and security implementation.
- Expertise in federal security standards such as STIGs, NIST 800-53, CIS Benchmarks, and PKI infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of networking architecture, including routing, switching, VPN, and virtualized infrastructure (VMWare).
- Hands-on experience in Linux environments and proficiency with tools like Wireshark, Cisco, and VMWare.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex system issues using debugging tools and techniques.
- Must be a US citizen, able to obtain security clearance.
Cubic Pay Range:
$115,000 - $174,770 + benefits.
*Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from our lowest geographic market up to our highest geographic market.
