Your Role:
As a Principal Network Security Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and implementing secure information systems for our products. You'll be an expert in system security and infrastructure, with a deep understanding of federal security guidelines and advanced networking principles. You'll work cross-functionally with developers and quality assurance teams to ensure our systems are secure, reliable, and running at peak performance. What You'll Do:

  • Design, develop, and implement secure information systems that align with our products and federal security requirements.
  • Contribute to system architecture design, ensuring seamless integration with infrastructure components.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to optimize system performance, uptime, and security.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers and QA, to ensure smooth system integration.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, technologies, and advancements in network security and implement best practices.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, design specifications, and guidelines.
  • Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and technical challenges.

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or Master's degree with relevant experience).
  • 8+ years of experience in network security engineering, with a deep understanding of information systems, hardware-software interactions, and security implementation.
  • Expertise in federal security standards such as STIGs, NIST 800-53, CIS Benchmarks, and PKI infrastructure.
  • Strong understanding of networking architecture, including routing, switching, VPN, and virtualized infrastructure (VMWare).
  • Hands-on experience in Linux environments and proficiency with tools like Wireshark, Cisco, and VMWare.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex system issues using debugging tools and techniques.
  • Must be a US citizen, able to obtain security clearance.

Cubic Pay Range:

$115,000 - $174,770 + benefits.

*Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from our lowest geographic market up to our highest geographic market.

The Cubic pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
