Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities
• Work with Application Team to develop reliable conveyor solutions
• Develop designs using standards and best practice solutions
• Review and revise designs to best meet customers needs
• Determine the best components for the desired outcome to meet specifications and customer needs
• Design with ease of manufacture in mind
• Understand entire scope of project and communicate clearly the requirements both internal of the design as well as communication capacities and restrictions
• Ensure that standard operating procedures are adhered to
• Ensure adherence to customer supplied specification as well as internal design standards
Education and Experience
• 5-10 years experience mechanical design of conveyors and associated hardware
• Knowledge of raw materials
• 4-year Mechanical Engineering Degree (BSME or Similar)
• Knowledge of AWS and ANSI standards
• Strong working knowledge of machines and manufacturing processes
