Intuit is looking for a product designer to help define how small businesses work with their bookkeepers through the QuickBooks Live service. QuickBooks Live is a portfolio of online expert services—bookkeeping, tax prep, and more—that connects small businesses with trusted, QuickBooks-certified virtual experts. Responsibilities
- Solve customer problems by synthesizing behavioral information and imagining things as they might be, not as they are.
- Deliver user flow diagrams, interaction patterns, design specs, wireframes, mental models, information architecture, and prototypes using emotional design methods.
- Participate in, and often lead, customer research with clear goals, a testable hypothesis, and learning plan.
- Conceptualize a broad spectrum of ideas and then narrow based on experimentation and customer research.
- Use visual frameworks and patterns based on brand guidelines.
- Collaborate effectively with other designers, content strategists, product managers, product developers, marketers, and researchers.
- Solicit feedback and contribute constructively to design reviews.
- Advance a strong point of view, backed up by personal expertise, design rationale, customer data, and industry trends.
- Work on multiple projects at one time, using strong communication skills to manage time and expectations appropriately.
Minimum Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in interaction design, product design, service design, or related field.
- Bachelor’s degree in Product Design, Human-Computer Interaction Design, or other relevant fields; Masters preferred, or equivalent work experience.
- Significant experience as a product or interaction designer responsible for leading work on cross-platform products and/or systems at a digital company, contributing to or leading the design and execution of cross-platform product experience; minimum of 5 years functioning as a design lead.
- Expert knowledge and experience with driving and applying user-centered design processes while working collaboratively with customers, along with cross-functional teams including engineering, product management, and user research.
- Curiosity and commitment to testing new ideas and innovating to drive business results.
- Excellent communicator, presenter, and negotiator.
- Expertise conveying ideas and concepts through storyboarding, wireframing, and prototyping.
- Mastery of Figma, or similar tools (Figma will be your primary design tool).
- A well-presented online portfolio demonstrating your strong craft and collaborative process.
