Job Description

Location: Charlotte, NC

Duration: 6+ Months, Could extend

Responsibilities:

1. Development of a Spring Based Rest Services, Spring Batch, and Spring Integration Components for an Enterprise Money Movement and Payments Platform
2. Work closely with technical lead and offshore developers to implement new Spring based components
3. Manage day to day technical challenges and communicate to manager any risks or issues associated with the development activities
4. Identify opportunities for system reuse and system simplification
5. Utilize and monitor internal performance monitoring for continuous improvement in code quality and delivery

Qualifications

Required Skills:

1. 7+ years of experience as a software engineer/programmer with Java/ J2EE
2. Strong understanding of Spring MVC and service oriented architectures
3. Strong understanding of Spring Core
4. Strong understanding of Spring Integration
5. Strong understanding of Spring WS (Rest)
6. Strong understanding of Spring Transaction management
7. Strong background working on projects using Agile methodologies
8. Strong background in either JSF or Freemarker frameworks

Desired Skills:

1. REST and SOAP service development (Jersey)
2. Coherence Cache and GRID implementation
3. JUnit and mocking frameworks
4. Source control systems such as Rational Team Concert and Starteam
5. Experience with Money Movement, Transfers, and / or Payment Systems Development is a plus
6. JUnit – Mockito experience is a plus
7. Prior TIAA-CREF experience is a plus
