Description
As our Market Design Engineer (III-Senior) , you will be on a team which is responsible for engineering, analytical, and studies on overall power market and operation performance, efficiency, behaviors, and the impact of market rules. You will also investigate and make improvements to market models and algorithms.
Additionally, as our Market Design Engineer (III-Senior) , you will be part of a great team that will propose, design, develop, and evaluate new wholesale electricity market design initiatives and impact to market structure due to industry evolvement. You will also have the opportunity to influence outcomes and improve processes.
In one year, you will know you’re successful if:
You can perform engineering, statistical, and economic analysis on system and market operations, market products, behavior, and outcome.
You understand the mechanics of the MISO market systems and how they fit together.
You coordinate internally and externally to communicate results, resolve issues, and implement improvements.
Our next Market Design Engineer (III-Senior) will be an experienced engineer who hold a bachelor’s degree or higher in one of several engineering disciplines. Please refer to the list below for the qualifying degrees.
Appropriate level will be determined based upon experience and knowledge.
