Product Development Engineer

The QTI Group has been retained by a family-owned organization in Mineral Point to recruit its next New Product Development Engineer . The New Product Development Engineer will be responsible for overseeing projects from concept to completion. Responsibilities will also include designing and developing new products for the company’s line.

Responsibilities:

• Develop new products and make improvements to existing products
• Work closely with customers to understand product specifications and purpose
• Establish product specifications, create drawings using engineering technology
• Establish testing methods and requirements for new products
• Work with manufacturing team to ensure proper design transfer and collaborate to complete testing and prototyping process
• Understand and comply with company quality system and regulatory requirements

Qualifications:

• BA/BS degree in Mechanical engineering
• Experience using AutoCAD and SolidWorks
• Design knowledge/experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
