Senior Full Stack Software Engineer

As a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer at Boeing Intelligence & Analytics, you will be responsible for providing application development and support to a tool that provides disseminatable data to be conveyed at the absolute first point of relevance, allowing mission analytic users to view existing data or contribute new information in a collaborative environment.
Senior Full Stack Software Engineer Duties Include:
- Provide full stack software development and technical services to support the Analytic and Engagement Applications.
- Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments.
- Develop services for existing or proposed databases or data repositories.
- Review and test software components for adherence to the design requirements and document test results.
- Provide specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components.
- Perform database and software life-cycle activities to ensure the highest level of system performance and availability and compliance with business requirements.
- Administer, maintain, and implement policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the database(s).
- Collaborate with User Experience design teams to increase product usability and interaction with analysts, to include Section 508 compliance.
- Collaborate with the Outreach team in providing help desk tiered support to users.
- Interface with users to improve features and functions of supported products.

Experience and Qualifications:
To be eligible for this demanding position, the ideal candidate should demonstrate the following experience and qualifications:
Required Education and Years of Experience:
- Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience).
- Eighteen (18) years total of SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for candidates without a qualifying bachelor’s degree.
Required Qualifications:
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
- Technical experience with:
- Java Web applications.
- JavaScript build frameworks (npm, nodejs, gulp, etc.).
- React.
- AngularJS / Jquery / BackboneJS (other JS frameworks).
- RESTful Services.
- Mongo DB / Elasticsearch/Amazon Cloud Development.
- 14+ years’ experience with:
- Overseeing one or more software development teams.
- Development of software solutions by analyzing system performance standards.
- Assisting with development and execution of test procedures for software components.
- Designing, developing, and modifying software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcomes and consequences of design.
- Collaborating with system engineers to derive software requirements and system performance requirements.
- Collaborating with the system administration team for software installation and configuration.
- Writing or reviewing software system documentation.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with consuming and writing web services.
- Experience with generating technical documentation.
- Experience with writing Linux-based scripts for code integration and cron jobs using Bourne Shell, C, or Python and work in a command line environment.
- Experience working in an Agile software development environment.
- Experience managing software code using Git & MAVEN.
- Experience using Jira and Confluence.
Telework Availability: Hybrid work schedule; 16-hours per week approved.
Work Location: Annapolis Junction, MD.
