Job Description:
- As a Mechanical Technician I, you will provide support in the disassembly, cleaning, inspection/maintenance, and repair of main engine fuel pumps.
- You will work under the supervision of the MRO Value Stream Manager, Chief inspector, and certified technicians to ensure the proper functioning and performance of mechanical components.
- Assist in the disassembly, cleaning, inspection/maintenance of main engine fuel pumps in accordance with CMM guidelines and specifications.
- Assist in troubleshooting mechanical issues, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions to resolve problems and restore functionality.
- Operate inspection equipment, hand tools, power tools, and machinery safely and effectively to perform mechanical tasks such as disassembly, cleaning, polishing, vapor blasting, part inspection, etc.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment history, documenting findings, actions taken, and parts used.
- Adhere to safety protocols, procedures, and regulations while performing mechanical tasks, ensuring a safe work environment for yourself and others.
- Assist in the inventory management of mechanical parts, tools, and supplies as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1-2 years of experience in mechanical assembly, maintenance, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical principles, systems, and components.
- Ability to read and interpret component maintenance manual and other technical documentation.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing mechanical tasks and inspections.
- Vocational training or certification in mechanical technology, or a related field.
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance practices and procedures.
- Knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations and practices.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is a plus.
