The Graduate Mechanical Engineer will assist the design team on the production of construction documents for plumbing and HVAC in a variety of markets including multifamily, commercial, high-rise, hospitality and more. The Graduate Mechanical Engineer reports to the Product + Technology team leader.

Responsibilities
    Work with a team of engineers and designers to work from architectural plans and base files to assist in the production of quality engineering construction documents in Revit
  • Under limited supervision of Engineers and Project Engineers, design Plumbing and HVAC systems including duct work, piping, and equipment sizing and selection for a variety of project types including education, municipal and commercial
  • Perform calculations such as pipe sizing, pump and boiler sizing, HVAC load calculations, etc.
  • Provide reviews of submittals and preliminary reviews of requests for information
  • Independently conduct preliminary site investigations and construction progress site visits
  • Maintain working relationships with manufacturers and technical representatives for plumbing and HVAC equipment in support of equipment specifications and design support
  • Participate in internal production meetings with Engineers and Project Managers as well as external design meetings with clients or city officials as necessary
  • Participate in development of automation and visualization strategies
  • Inform Project Engineers, Team Leaders, and Project Managers of progress on assigned projects
  • Attend industry events and become involved in the community, creating relationships and content
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) license obtained within first 12 months of employment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in the field of new building mechanical engineering construction
  • Experience in Autodesk Revit
  • Prior experience or knowledge of coding and/or machine learning technologies
