CorVel is looking for a methodical, analytically minded Cloud Engineer to join our Cloud and Security Team. The team is responsible for managing Corvel’s cloud implementation while maintaining high security standards and implementing industry best practices. Candidates should have a strong grasp of cloud technologies with a strong focus on Azure Networking.

Along with a background in Microsoft technologies with a network and security focus, the Cloud Engineer will need strong organizational skills to fully understand, plan, and execute projects with numerous stakeholders across multiple teams.

Major responsibilities include:

  • Engineer and deploy cloud-based solutions with a focus on Cloud Networking.
  • Apply system knowledge to diagnose and fix complex problems.
  • Create, deploy, and maintain infrastructure as code.
  • Apply sound IT Engineering processes, with a focus on security and best practices.
  • Stay current with technology and industry best practices.
  • Adaptability and willingness to respond to changing priorities.
  • Demonstrate problem solving skills as well as technical/non-technical abilities.
  • Work with minimal supervision towards the common goals for the department.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong experience in Azure Networking including Azure Firewalls.
  • Experience supporting PAAS in Azure.
  • Advanced PowerShell scripting and automation.
  • Create VNets, Subnets, Address Spaces, Routes, Security Groups, Site-to-Site VPN connectivity, peering in Azure.
  • Experience implementing cloud hardening policies.
  • Familiar with working in a zero trust, least privileged model.
  • Experience researching enterprise solutions to address enterprise security and compliance.
  • Experience managing IAAS.
  • Azure resource deployment, network configuration, troubleshooting and security policy implementation.
  • Azure RBAC and Azure Active Directory.
  • Proficient in design, build, configuration, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be self-directed, analytical, adept to problem solving, and have a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce quality solutions under tight and strict deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including diagraming.

Preferred:

  • Familiar with Microsoft Azure Cloud Adoption framework including landing zone using Microsoft architectural framework.
  • Microsoft Azure certification and deep working knowledge of Microsoft Azure, from common features to data security solutions.

Experience & Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and related experience.
  • 5+ years of technical experience.

PAY RANGE:

CorVel uses a market based approach to pay and our salary ranges may vary depending on your location. Pay rates are established taking into account the following factors: federal, state, and local minimum wage requirements, the geographic location differential, job-related skills, experience, qualifications, internal employee equity, and market conditions. Our ranges may be modified at any time.

Pay Range: $77,760 – $129,456
