Senior Android Software Engineer - TikTok Camera Effect

TikTok Camera Effect team is seeking talented software engineers with experience in Client Development, AI, CG, ML or AR to build the next-generation of camera effects using the latest AI technologies.

Responsibilities

1. Develop high-performance client applications that empower users in content creation.
2. Remain abreast of the latest advancements in mobile development, Artificial Intelligence, and Generative AI technologies, integrating them seamlessly into our product development lifecycle.
3. Engage collaboratively with product teams to grasp user requirements and product aspirations, translating design into features.
4. Enhance application performance to deliver seamless user experiences and exceptional performance.
5. Contribute to the evolution and maintenance of core components and frameworks, ensuring our codebase quality.
6. Diagnose and resolve technical issues and bugs, ensuring the stability and security of applications.
7. Work closely with backend engineers to foster seamless integration between mobile applications and backend.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Demonstrated knowledge in client app development and optimization, with a proficient understanding of client app architecture and design patterns.
2. Expertise in utilizing app development tools and popular third-party libraries.
3. Proficiency in integrating RESTful APIs, network communication, and data parsing.
4. Strong problem-solving and debugging capabilities, effectively identifying and resolving technical challenges.
5. Exceptional team player, skilled in close collaboration with cross-functional teams to propel project advancement.
6. Innovative mindset and passion for mobile app development and content creation.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
2. 3 years of practical experience in mobile app development, with a strong command of Java or Kotlin.

Job Information:

Compensation Description (annually)

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $184300 - $337250 annually. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
