Job Type Full-time DescriptionAlaska Northstar Resources (ANR) is currently seeking a qualified Java Developer to join our team in support of the Army Selection Board System (ASBS) program. This is a remote role responsible for the development and implementation for updates to existing software.The ideal candidate will be responsible for (but not limited to) development tasks and peer review for the ASBS Project.This position will focus on full stack development with adherence to styles and attention to detail.They must be an excellent communicator, problem solver, and actively independent thinker.The selected candidate must be able to work as part of a team and be willing to mentor others.The Army Selection Board System (ASBS) is a web-based application used in the reviewing and recording Soldiers potential for promotion and other selections such as Command or Schools.RequirementsCandidatemust be a US CitizenCandidatemust have a DoD Secret ClearanceCandidatemust have CompTIA Security+ or other applicable 8570 IAT Level II certificationCandidate must have a bachelor's degree in computer science or related field of studyCandidate must have 3+ years' experience with the following:Java DevelopmentDevelopment in an Agile EnvironmentPreferred SkillsProblem solving skillsWillingness to mentor othersSpring Boot, Amazon Web Services, JBOSS, Angular, Rest Services, GraphQL.Prior knowledge of Military processes and proceduresAngular/React software development.STIG, CybersecurityAWS CloudWork EnvironmentOffice environment. Requires ability to provide clear, concise, accurate and timely communication, both verbally and in writing (100%). Requires ability to interact professionally with co-workers, management, and client (100%). Occasional business travel may be required.
