Responsibilities
- Research Android platform, Security
- Develop and maintain Android applications and frameworks
- Work with product managers to translate the product requirements to technical requirements
- Translate designs and mock-ups into high quality code
- Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application
- Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation
- Troubleshoot and resolve customer escalations
Required Skills
- 8+ years of experience in Java programming AND/ OR C++
- Strong experience and understanding of networking protocols
- Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices
- Experience with RESTful APIs, offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
- Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasks
- Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications
Desired Skills
- Experience implementing VPN, firewall type solutions on Android
- Experience in the security industry
- Worked on platform-level components specific to Android
- Expert in Android internals (networking stack and device management) is preferred
- Strong experience with Android SDK, NDK, JNI and different versions of Android is preferred
- Experience with PKI, network security technologies and protocols preferred
Zscaler’s salary ranges are benchmarked and are determined by role and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations and could be higher or lower based on a multitude of factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
The base salary range listed for this full-time position excludes commission/ bonus/ equity (if applicable) + benefits.
Base Pay Range: $161,000 — $215,000 USD
