Entry-Level Chemical Engineer Trainee

Overview: Heidelberg Materials North America is looking for an entry-level chemical engineer trainee to participate in a structured training program designed to provide an overview of cement plant operations. This position is based in Evansville, PA.

• Participate in production and maintenance meetings
• Learn basic supervisory skills by working with supervisors
• Complete assigned project work and performance studies
• Participate in various training programs
• Conduct root cause analysis

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering preferred, mechanical or electrical engineering considered with solid academic achievements
• Prior manufacturing exposure/experience a plus
• Willingness to travel to other locations during the training program
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written
• Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced environment with 24/7 operations

Work Environment: Operates primarily a professional office environment, but requires conducting business at manufacturing locations and job sites where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, humidity, and elevated noise levels
