Insight Global is hiring an Engineering Specialist for a large Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) based in Dearborn, Michigan. The job involves traveling to various plants in Michigan and Ohio for a week at a time. During these visits, the specialist will:
Inspect and Document : Walk through the plant to identify and document equipment and assets.
Verify Records : Check that the physical equipment matches the records in the system by locating and scanning drawings.
Collaborate : Work closely with different plant teams, including electricians, engineers, and production staff, to track and update asset information.
Ensure Compliance : Make sure all equipment has the proper codes and stamps.
Data Management : Input and update information in the system.
After gathering data, the specialist returns to Dearborn to finalize the documentation before moving on to the next plant. The role requires good organizational skills and the ability to work with multiple groups. A bachelor’s degree in engineering is preferred, but not mandatory.
