Electrical Controls Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Controls Engineer to join our team, working remotely with occasional travel to Decatur, IL, or customer sites. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in control systems and extensive experience in PLC and HMI programming. This role involves designing, programming, testing, and implementing advanced control systems, with ongoing technical support to ensure seamless integration and operation.
Key Responsibilities:

• Design electrical systems and specify hardware requirements for control systems.
• Develop and program control systems using PLCs, HMIs, SCADA software, and networking protocols.
• Conduct simulation, testing, and debugging of control systems in controlled environments.
• Oversee system startups at client locations and ensure proper implementation.
• Provide ongoing remote and on-site technical support for installed systems.

• Relevant degree or a minimum of 5 years of experience in project engineering or project management, with a focus on control system integration.
• Strong expertise in PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, communication protocols, and networking.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Remote position with 10% travel to Decatur, IL, or customer sites.
