Engineering Manager / Lead Engineer

Currently looking for an Engineering Manager to come in and support a VP of Engineering in a high performing team. The team are flexible in terms of the engineering background, but are keen to speak to those from Mechanical, Product or Electrical engineering backgrounds. Key Responsibilities:

• Team Leadership : Oversee and manage team operations, ensuring accountability and meeting key project milestones.
• Hands-On Execution : Be actively involved in the day-to-day work while ensuring the team delivers high-quality output.
• Multifunctional Role : Work across various functions beyond design, including procurement, integration, and more. This is a broad role requiring versatility and adaptability.
• Collaboration with VP of Engineering : Enable the VP of Engineering to focus on his strengths, including new technology development, by handling key aspects of the workload and aligning closely with his vision and strategy.
• Mechanical Engineering Focus : A strong background in mechanical engineering, with experience in mechanical design and Design for Manufacturing (DFM), is essential for success in this role.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Engineering Expertise : A talented engineer with proven experience in mechanical design, DFM, and the ability to execute projects efficiently.
• Startup Mindset : Previous experience in a startup environment is highly desirable. Candidates should be comfortable wearing multiple hats and handling diverse responsibilities.
• Leadership & Representation : Capable of representing the company in front of key stakeholders, including investors, with confidence and professionalism.
• Autonomy & Decision-Making : A self-starter who is confident in making decisions and driving action independently, without requiring constant direction.
• Commitment : This role is not for someone seeking a typical 9-to-5 job. We need someone who is dedicated and willing to put in the effort required for success.
