Job Overview: Parry Labs is seeking an experienced and visionary UX Director to lead our User Experience team. The UX Director will be responsible for shaping the overall user experience strategy, ensuring our products are intuitive, user-centered, and meet the highest standards of usability. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of user-centered design principles and a passion for creating seamless and engaging experiences for our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategy & Leadership:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive UX strategy aligned with the Chief Technology Officer’s technical vision and Parry Labs' business goals.
- Implement UX practices in line with the Vice President, Digital & Software Products.
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of UX/UI designers, researchers, developers, testers, and other related professionals.
- Advocate for user-centered design principles across the organization, ensuring that user experience is at the forefront of product development.
- Product Development:
- Collaborate closely with product management, engineering, and marketing teams to define and implement innovative UX solutions.
- Oversee the entire design process, from user research and wireframing to prototyping and usability testing.
- Ensure that all digital products deliver a consistent and cohesive user experience across different platforms and devices.
- User Research & Testing:
- Drive user research initiatives to gain deep insights into user needs, behaviors, and pain points.
- Utilize data-driven approaches to inform design decisions, ensuring that products are intuitive and user-friendly.
- Conduct usability testing and iterate on designs based on feedback and research findings.
- Innovation & Trends:
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in UX/UI design.
- Identify opportunities for innovation within the product suite, leveraging new tools and techniques to enhance user experience.
- Champion the adoption of new methodologies and processes that improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Communicate UX vision, strategy, and progress to senior leadership and other stakeholders.
- Foster a collaborative environment where ideas and feedback are openly shared and considered.
- Represent the voice of the user in all product discussions and decisions.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in UX design, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.
- Skills:
- Proven track record of leading UX teams and delivering successful digital products.
- Strong expertise in user-centered design principles, methodologies, and tools.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on design work.
- Experience with agile development processes and cross-functional collaboration.
