Job Description
EBAD seeks a skilled technician for the position Electronics Technician. The Electronics Technician will support EBAD's Electronics Assembly Line in a High-Mix Low-Volume Manufacturing environment. EBAD's product catalogue introduces a healthy work type mix of Development and Production builds.
This position is located in Simsbury, CT and will report to the Production Supervisor.
Responsibilities:
- Hand solder small, complex components and connectors per J-STD-001 Class 3 requirements
- Perform Potting and Encapsulation operations using a variety of different materials and mixing methods
- Assemble Electrical and Electro-Mechanical assemblies
- Assemble Cable and Wire Harness assemblies
- Assemble Test Equipment, embedded in mobile rack systems
- Support Inspection of Electronics Assemblies per IPC-A-610 Class 3
- Support Inspection of Cable and Wire Harness Assemblies per IPC-A-620 Class 3
- Read, Understand and Execute to drawings, process specs and manufacturing instructions
- Assist Engineers in manufacturing process development
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing area
- Maintain work cells in accordance with 6S principles
Requirements:
- Electronics Assembly Experience Required (PCB Assembly and Electro-mechanical Assembly Knowledge)
- Current or Previous J-STD-001 Certification
- Must be able to read and understand process documents such as drawings, manufacturing instructions and process requirements.
- Flexibility to work with varying levels of procedural detail
- Strong communication skills to be able to work with Engineers, Inspectors and other technicians
- Must have high school diploma
Desired skills :
- Current or previous IPC-A-610 Certification is preferred but not required
- Current or previous IPC-A-620 Certification is preferred but not required
