Principal, UX Designer – Front End, Store

EXCITING PRINCIPAL, UX DESIGNER – FRONT END/STORE OPPORTUNITY!

Our client, the nation’s largest retailer, is searching for a Principal UX Designer – Front End/Store to work on the store experiences team and set the vision for the best customer and associate experiences. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional partners using your knowledge of the Design Thinking process to facilitate conversations, create concepts, run design sprints, and build rapid prototypes to leverage collective creativity. You’ll employ your strengths in storytelling to present your vision and product design rationale in a compelling manner to cross-functional partners and the leadership team. While working with partners to determine a shared plan forward that balances business and technology considerations, you’ll craft experiences that are intuitive to use and accessible for all.

3. Creating the experience strategy and setting the design direction for the program that delivers on user needs and business goals.

5. Engaging the design research team at the right points during the design process to ensure insights inform the work.
6. Rapid prototyping and experimenting in a fast-paced environment.
7. Creating scalable experiences in partnership with our Design System team.
8. Championing the Design Thinking philosophy throughout the business.
9. Communicating effectively with kindness and empathy.
10. Staying up to date with the latest trends, in and out of retail.

Preferred Qualifications:

Degree in HCI, Information Architecture, Digital Design, or similar and at least 5-7 years of experience in product design. A fantastic portfolio of elegant design solutions is required.
