PSE's IT Infrastructure team is looking for qualified candidates to fill an open Advisor Telecommunications Engineer - Nokia SME position!

Specific details regarding the work arrangements for this position will be discussed in further detail during the interview process.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provides the planning, design, acquisition and implementation of the company’s Wide Area Network.
  • A high level member of a telecommunications transport network team of 6.
  • Evaluates business requirements to develop and implement solutions.
  • Conducts project planning and management, cost analysis and vendor comparisons.
  • Performs traffic study analysis to determine the best configuration of systems.
  • Collaborates on infrastructure related to telecommunications network including related hardware and software to ensure availability, recoverability, performance, integrity and supportability through production support of new and existing network and implementation of enhancements.
  • Provides advanced internal customer support for the new and existing telecommunication systems. Researches, recommends and designs new technologies, new configurations and enhancements to existing telecommunications; provides consulting advice to customers on the capabilities of the telecommunications network environment.
  • Upholds the safety compliance standards inherent in PSE’s operating and/or field procedures related to work responsibilities.
  • Promotes and supports a culture of total safety.
  • Demonstrates commitment to conduct business honestly, ethically and consistent with our core values and Code of Conduct.
  • Ensures duties are performed in accordance with all regulatory compliance obligations.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Two (2) year degree or certification in a technology-related field or equivalent combination of education, work experience or relevant military experience, and at least six (6) years of experience in related field.
  • Six (6) years of directly relevant technical telecommunications experience.
  • Three (3) years of experience leading projects including scope, schedule, budget and resource allocation.
  • Experience leading and participating in internal and external teams.
  • Subject matter expert within telecommunications, with working knowledge of related disciplines.
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex systems, solve problems, and multi-task.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices and technological leading edge developments.
  • Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures across multiple fields.

The pay range for this position is $110,400.00 - $194,200.00, and this position is eligible for annual goals based incentive bonuses.
