Position : Sr System Engineer with Linux & VMware
Location : Atlanta, GA ( Onsite from Day 1 )

Required Skills and Abilities:
• 10 years’ work experience in an IT Project implementation or system engineering role.
• Strong experience in Linux RHEL/OEL/CentOS administration and deployment
• Proven experience with systems planning, security principles, and general infrastructure management best practices.
• Strong experience with VMware
• Excellent English Communication
• Experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker or other application development orchestration and containerization tools.
• Experience with automation tools like Ansible and Terraform .
• Experience with public cloud Virtual machine, networking, storage and container solutions and support .
• Experience with project deployment and following specific schedules to complete tasks within timelines and budget.
• Network topology and infrastructure networking expertise.
• Strong understanding of Virtual Private Networking and remote access tools.
• Strong understanding of server and workstation infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of high availability protocols and architecture.
• Working knowledge of storage area network and network attached storage systems.
• Working knowledge of Unix compliant command line interfaces.
• Proficient with other open-source operating systems and applications.
• Ability to understand and diagnose customer-server architecture.
• Proficient with other open-source operating systems and applications.
Strategy & Planning
• Collaborate with the project implementation team and the customer lifecycle performance team to ensure smooth and reliable operation of software and systems for fulfilling business objectives and processes.
• Follow process and scheduled project tasks to deliver infrastructure platforms on time and budget.
• Work with cross-functional software and development teams to identify and resolve customer systems issues during the project implementation timeline.
• Follow standard Agile project management methodology and use Jira to manage tasks and timelines.
Operations and Support
• Provide mentorship and guidance to other technical teams to increase customer satisfaction.
• Provide leadership and collaboration with customer IT teams to solve issues efficiently and drive standard solutions.
• Coordinate with customer program and project managers to complete requests and provide IT best practice standards.
• Assist with the Design and deploy new development systems on-premises and in public cloud environments.
• Provide 24x7 escalation support as needed for all customer project related systems support requests.
• Respond to project requests to meet all customer service level objectives and cross-functional project team timelines.
• Work with software sustainability team to create monitoring tools, manage alerts, set thresholds, and respond to all alert and event management changes.
• Follow and adhere to ITIL change management procedures.
