The Impact You'll Have:
Alliant Engineering has a fantastic opportunity for a Graduate Traffic Engineer to join our newly established, beautiful Tampa office! You will have the ability to work with a talented team to conduct traffic signal operations analyses, traffic impact studies, assist with signal timing projects, complete traffic signal design and participate in other transportation related projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- 0-4 years of experience in Traffic and Transportation Engineering
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Skilled ability to be organized and adept in managing competing priorities
- Exceptional technical, written, and oral communication competences
- Experience with GIS
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong familiarity with traffic operations software such as Synchro/SimTraffic, Highway Capacity Manual, and VISSIM
- Signal Timing and Signal Controller proficiency
- Traffic signal design experience
- Roadway signing and pavement marking knowledge
- IMSA traffic Signal Field Technician II certification
- Working knowledge of MicroStation and AutoCAD
