We are seeking people for 1st and 2nd shift. Benefits for 2nd shift include:
• 4 day workweek
• $4/hr pay premium
The job entails:
A systematic, patient pace with the emphasis on creative imaginative thought in order to get the job done right
The job provides stable, consistent methods, processes and procedures
Technical, intellectual focus
Great deal of attention devoted to developing a creative solution to problems and decisions
Offers the chance to develop expertise and a full understanding of the job to be done
The quality and correctness of decisions is more important than the speed with which decisions are made
Considerable opportunity to work alone, with no outside pressure
The core job functions:
Operating a large, 3-axis Mill with an indexable head. The work would be on a wide variety of steel and some aluminum as well as a variety of tolerances from +/- .005 to +/- .0002. Most work is custom 'job shop' with an occasional run of very small quantities. Creating and editing programs at the controls is preferred! Applicants must have a good supply of their own tools. Machinist would be responsible for machining materials to customer's specifications with a provided program. We require all applicants to take a Machinist Aptitude and Math test. Programming experience in solid models is a plus but not required.
Signing Bonus: $250 at 30 days, $500 at 90 days, $500 at 180 days, $750 at 1 year.
Salary: $22.00 to $35.00 /hour based on knowledge and experience. 2nd shift pay premium!
