Job Description
Design, Develop, and implement solutions to improve existing design assemblies, and to design new product lines for development and bring those lines to market.
Coordinating the implementation of design changes in the production setting. This responsibility encompasses changes in purchased components and in-house components.
- Assisting with the definition and creation of assembly processes.
- Consulting and assisting in the troubleshooting and resolution process as it applies to manufacturing processes and/or design issues. Consulting and assisting with the development of procedures and equipment for manufacturing related testing and troubleshooting.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Help execute processes and projects that continuously improve business outcomes aligned to corporate strategy, commitments, and goals (safety, quality, efficiency, delivery, etc.)
- Interface with all related disciplines, departments, and team members
- Maintain manufacturing data to monitor, measure, and improve processes.
- Facilitate, monitor and ensure production of product lines are held to a high quality standard.
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient with Solidworks, Excel, Word, and other Microsoft office tools
- Experience with Bills of Material (BOMs)
- Strong communication skills in listening, discussing and documenting requirements and feedback.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing
- Experience in designing hydraulic and electrical systems to move large structural components.
- Ability to multi-task with complex systems to reach deadlines.
Education & Experience
- A four-year college degree required in Mechanical Engineering, Agriculural Engineering, crane engineering or equivalent.
- Prefer 2-5 years in crane manufacturing or related field.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment and adhere to budgets.
- Experience in designing hydraulic systems to move large structural components.
- Experience in designing electrical systems to mirror hydraulic systems.
