Isomer Project Group is seeking a Senior Control Systems Engineer to join our growing team. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
All our Staff Engineers are responsible for:
- Maintaining and promoting our culture and leading the project team and all stakeholders by example.
- Providing innovation through project approach, tools, and systems to drive value and opportunities.
- Mentoring less experienced team members to foster their professional growth, imparting knowledge and guidance in line with Isomer’s culture of continuous learning and development.
- Working in a fast-paced environment and being open to supporting exciting, first-of-kind technologies.
- Producing project deliverables on-time, within budget, and to the agreed scope.
- Performing reviews of existing design packages and offering solutions to add value as part of Due Diligence or Independent Engineering efforts.
- Participating in multi-discipline teams, including subject matter experts (SMEs), to produce or provide feedback on Front-End Engineering Packages (FEL1-3) and Detailed Design Engineering Packages.
- Planning and delivering Detailed Design Engineering and developing Engineering Work Packages to support EPC or Construction Bid Packages.
- Traveling (as required) to evaluate design options, provide construction oversight services, and gather site data as necessary.
- Assisting our Project Managers and Business Development team in pursuing and developing new work fronts through customer relationships, sales calls, and proposal development.
- Assisting in the recruitment of new team members and mentoring and developing existing team members, where applicable.
- Assisting to create and maintain company standards and procedures for your area of expertise.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
The person we hire for this role will be responsible for leading teams who are:
- Preparing and Maintaining Project Instrument List
- Developing Control System Philosophies/Narratives
- Coordinating Multi-Discipline Input to Instrument Specifications
- Generating and Reviewing Instrument Data Sheets
- Developing Control System Architecture Diagrams
- Assisting Project Managers to develop due diligence reports to evaluate proposed technologies at the front end of projects.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering.
- Excellent Written and Verbal Communication Skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools.
- Able to travel as required, typically ~10%. Typical duties will be performed in an office environment with occasional field trips to operating facilities or construction sites.
- US Citizenship and Valid US Driver’s License. Please note that we are unable to sponsor an employment visa, such as H1-B or related visa, to fill this position.
Preferred:
- 12+ years of relevant Industry Experience.
- Successful experience with front-end engineering, design, construction, project delivery methods, team building, and client relationship building.
- Professional Engineering (P.E.) License or ability to obtain within 1-year.
- Experience with AutoCAD.
- Experience with Smart P&IDs and/or Integrated 3D Design Packages.
