QTEC Aerospace is seeking an ANTI-TAMPER SYSTEMS/HARDWARE ENGINEER to join our team of professionals in Huntsville, AL. The successful candidate will become part of a team of professionals representing both industry and government in support of a Missile Defense System (MDS) with a mission of protecting the United States and our allies. The successful candidate will be detail oriented, have a proven track record and a positive work ethic.Job SummaryQTEC Aerospace is looking for highly capable and motivated individuals.The successful candidate will function as an integral member of a multi-contractor team providing program, engineering, and technical support to Missile Defense programs.Job Duties/ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities will include, but may not be limited to the following:Coordinate with Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Anti-tamper (AT) and program leadership on updates and/or changes to the systemPerform Anti-Tamper Risk and Threat Management Assessments and reports for the programDevelop the analysis process and preparation of the AT plan and provide coordination and input for near-term fielding decisionsDevelop, deliver, and maintain the AT Plan, AT Evaluation Plan, Key Management Plan, and the Program Protection PlanDevelop, deliver, and maintain Critical Program Information (CPI) analysis, Defense Exportability Assessments, and defense export strategyDevelop, deliver, and maintain waivers for CPI, AT, or defense exportability featuresAssess program protection and Anti-Tamper designs and implementation plans in support of verification and validation effortsDevelop and deliver recommendations to improve program protection while meeting cost, schedule, and performance objectivesAssess program protection and Anti-Tamper designs and implementation plans in support of verification and validation effortsIdentify risk-based technical countermeasures for the protection of Critical Program Information and Critical ComponentsBrief Anti-Tamper and Program Protection requirements and prepare white papers and evaluations as requiredSupport program milestone reviews and Fielding Decisions and verify entrance criteria are satisfied by having the Anti-Tamper and Program Protection products approvedInteract with customers to define SSE requirements, solutions, trades, costs, implementation, system impacts, and effectivenessSupport developing plans and estimates, task execution, project tracking, reporting, and risk identification and mitigation plans. Keep senior management informed on major accomplishments, issues, and concernsSome travel between development sites (COS and HSV) may be requiredMinimum Education and ExperienceBachelors degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or related field from an accredited college, with at least 10 years of professional experience or at least 12 years of professional experience with a related master's degree8570 IAT - Level III (CISSP or equivalent)Required Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesMust possess a substantial understanding of system design and development, Service Oriented Architecture development principles, and implementation and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD)Experience designing and implementing Anti-Tamper (AT) and/or Defense Exportability Features (DEF) solutionsUnderstand and demonstrate the ability to engineer complex systems to ensure separation of concernsUnderstand and demonstrate the ability to factor confidentiality, integrity, and availability considerations in all phases of the system development lifecycleUnderstand and demonstrate the ability to understand and decompose requirements to support hardware components' implementation, verification, and validation testingUnderstand and demonstrate the ability to generate detailed, repeatable, automated test pro eduresUnderstand and demonstrate the ability to extract data to support analysis requirementsUnderstand and demonstrate the ability to generate procedures that test functionalityUnderstand and demonstrate the ability to apply Agile and Lean Product Development principles as well as train others through a DevOps-type environmentBackground experience should include all system development life cycle aspects, including experience with Git, JIRA, Confluence, and other open-source development toolsMust also have experience working in an integrated team environment with other systems, software, and specialty engineers to develop solutionsShould understand and know the Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS)Must have a demonstrated ability to collaborate with a team of high-performing individuals across a multi-site, multi-discipline organizationAbility to analyze high-level needs and, through a structured and logical approach, refine the need into an evolving minimum viable product (MVP) that leads to a fielded productAble to write and implement engineering plans within a projectCandidate will have previously engineered automation pipelines to enable effective development within environments with rapidly changing requirements, design challenges that require novel solutions, fast-paced activities, and tight deadlinesUnderstanding anti-tampering and exportability concerns and applying secure hardware/software methodologiesExcellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, clearly present technical approaches and findings, and prepare and brief presentations to the customer as neededSelf-starter with ability to work both independently and in a team environmentSecurity ClearanceCandidates must currently have and be able to maintain a minimum DoD SECRET level security clearance.LocationHuntsville, ALIt is the policy of QTEC, Inc. not to discriminate on the basis of gender, age, race, religion, disability, veteran status or any protected statuses and to take affirmative action to employ and advance in employment qualified individuals within the company.For more information, or to apply now, you must go to the website below.
