Position:

Mobile Developer (Xamarin)

Client:

Milwaukee, WI-based sustainable building materials manufacturer.

Location:

Milwaukee, WI (Hybrid)

All roles have an in-person component and require working onsite in Milwaukee, WI, as needed.

Contract: 3-6 month to hire.

Pay: $49-$70/hr W2. Based on experience.

We are seeking a skilled Xamarin Developer to help build the front end of our mobile app, which integrates Azure AI Visual Recognition to enhance user experience and product interaction. This role can be a contract only or a contract to hire based on candidates' preferences.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement high-quality mobile applications using Xamarin.
  2. Integrate Azure AI Visual Recognition to identify products in real-world scenarios.
  3. Work with the back-end team to ensure integration and functionality.
  4. Utilize ASPNetZero for backend services to enhance app performance.
  5. Provide technical specifications and documentation to users.
  6. Implement features to upsell filters within the app, enhancing user engagement and revenue opportunities.

Required Skills:

  1. 5+ years of mobile development experience with proficiency in C# and Xamarin.
  2. Familiarity with .NET concepts like memory management, garbage collection, and .NET libraries.
  3. Knowledge of responsive design, mobile interaction concepts, and visual design guidelines for each platform (iOS, Android).
  4. Understanding of mobile-specific UI and UX design principles.
  5. Experience in consuming web services and REST APIs.
  6. Skills in unit testing, UI testing, and debugging across different devices and OS versions.
  7. Proficiency in using version control systems.
  8. Experience with data storage on mobile devices using SQLite, Realm, or other mobile databases.
  9. Ability to work with minimal supervision and in a team-oriented environment.

+ Experience with Azure AI Visual Recognition and/or training existing AI models is highly desirable.
