Software Engineer - Python/Scala - Trading

A top-tier, tech-driven trading firm in Chicago is hiring for a Software Engineer to sit on their Data Team. The position will be focused on backend software development pertaining to the company's central data platform.

Requirements:

1. ~4+ years of professional software development experience
2. Tech: Python OR Scala - must be currently using one of these languages
3. Experience working/interacting with data - ingestion, integration, capture, normalization, etc.
4. Experience within the financial services industry, desired not mandatory
5. Location: Chicago - mandatory - hybrid policy (2 days in office in the Loop)
6. Compensation: competitive base + bonus + benefits - dependent on tenure and skills

The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of experience either ingesting or transforming data from external or internal sources and have worked with either object-oriented Python OR Scala.
