Ignite Digital has an exciting opportunity for a Jira Service Desk Developer to support our client engagements within the federal government. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong analytical skills and a strong work ethic. This position serves an important role in supporting the Navy's NIWC Pacific Process Automation team through Jira/Confluence apps. The Developer will troubleshoot, debug, maintain and improve existing processes by developing solutions within Jira, using Adaptavist ScriptRunner, automation, various elements connections, workflow and Agile/SCRUM development methodologies.


Responsibilities:


  • Develop within the JIRA infrastructure, utilizing the platform to process and deliver actionable workflows to clients and end users for strategic decision making
  • Evaluate, develop, and implement solutions within current business processes to optimize efficiencies in collaboration with financial process SMEs
  • Design and deliver dashboards that reconcile key performance and operational data for the command to drive actionable objectives
  • Script development to support JIRA service center
  • Identify methods to collect, analyze, and manage data with the goal of making recommendations to improve data quality and the efficiency of the command
  • Evaluate the performance and applicability of tools against customer and client requirements
  • Foster collaborative business relationships with stakeholders, business partners, and team members
  • Collaborate with Navy clients on enterprise reporting and objectives
  • Translate high-level business requirements into functional specifications and reports

Minimum Qualifications:


  • Ability to obtain a DoD security clearance
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Finance, Business, Economics or other related field
  • Experience developing, implementing, and supporting the usage of JIRA toolkits
  • Advanced knowledge in JIRA Software and JIRA Service Management
  • Intermediate knowledge in Confluence and Confluence apps/plug-ins
  • Intermediate/advanced knowledge in JIRA apps, such as:
    • Actions for JIRA Service Desk
    • Adaptavist ScriptRunner for JIRA
    • Automation for JIRA
    • Elements Connect, Copy, and Sync
    • Enterprise Mail Handler (JEMH) for JIRA Data Center
    • JIRA Misc
    • Workflow Extensions
    • JIRA Workflow Toolbox
    • Rich Filters
    • Smart Attachments
    • Xporter
    • Extension for JIRA Service Desk

  • Knowledge of regression testing after JIRA/Confluence upgrades
  • Intermediate knowledge of data visualization and dashboards
  • Knowledge of Agile/SCRUM development methodology
  • Knowledge of Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN)
  • Strong customer service experience
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience working with a variety of stakeholders, from managers to technical resources, to include the translation of business requirements into operational measures and reports
  • Demonstrated experience in handling large data sets and communication through reports
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently, and quickly transition to reassess priorities

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Active DoD security clearance
  • Experience with DoD/NAVWAR business practices, data management systems and processes
  • Knowledge of the system development life cycle, software project management approaches and requirements, design and test techniques including experience working in a DevOps/DevSecOps delivery environment
  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems
  • Experience in mentoring/training/coaching others in technical concepts
  • Adapts quickly to new situations, is willing to learn new technologies and works well in a team environment, leading individual projects without the need for supervision

*Ability to obtain a DoD Government Security Clearance is mandatory for this position*


Salary: $100,000+ to align with education & experience
