Are you ready to be part of a dynamic team and contribute to the success of innovative projects? We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Project Engineer to join Bali Construction. As a Project Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring project success by undertaking a diverse range of tasks across the entire project lifecycle. These tasks encompass crucial areas such as materials management, plan preparation, requests for information, data collection and analysis, project reporting, and document control. This role will provide essential support to project operations and help drive overall project achievement.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and become familiar with the project documents, including contracts, plans, and specifications.
  • Identify potential conflicts in the documents and report to Project Manager.
  • Prepare and transmit requests for information and maintain and update the project RFI log.
  • Prepare and transmit submittal packages and maintain and update project submittal log.
  • Resolve submittal review comments to obtain approval.
  • Identify changes in quantities resulting from events not limited to Client directives, Owner directives, design plan progression, reviewing and approving agency design plan comments and conditions for approval.
  • In coordination with Bali’s Purchasing Manager, obtain vendor shop drawings and review them for conformance with the project requirements.
  • In coordination with Bali’s Purchasing Manager, identify and research alternate or substitute materials that meet project requirements to obtain the best value or mitigate availability constraints.
  • Obtain requisite permits for the project scope of work.
  • Convey job site issues identified to Project Manager, Superintendent, and Foremen as necessary.
  • Actively participate in Bali’s Safety Culture.
  • In coordination with Bali’s Safety Director and the project team, prepare job hazard analysis for each activity.
  • Actively participate in Bali’s impact notification procedure as necessary.
  • Review field-generated time & material extra work tickets for completeness and address shortfalls identified.
  • Price time & material extra work tickets as necessary.
  • Assist field personnel in navigating administrative duties using mobile platforms not limited to project-specific document control software and TRACK.
  • Assist resolve field identified conflicts as necessary.
  • Collect and record field data to support production rate review and analysis.
  • Prepare project or task-specific plans not limited to sewer spill prevention plans, sewer bypass plans, shut-down or tie-in plans, and hoisting or lift plans.
  • Attend Operations Meeting.
  • Participate in and contribute to project cost to complete analyses and quarterly estimates.
  • Participate in joint Estimating and Operating project turn-over meetings.
  • Contribute to preparing for and participating in Bali’s inter-departmental project kick-off meeting.
  • Participate in change order negotiation meetings with Clients.
  • Visit project sites and attend project meetings.
  • Participate in Corporate annual and quarterly meetings.

Experience, Education & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, or related field; or equivalent combination of skill, ability, and experience.
  • Proficient in Windows 10, Office 365, and Bluebeam.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Independently manage key processes with oversight.
  • Ability to multi-task, strong organizational skills.
  • Must be self-motivated and disciplined with a strong work ethic.
  • Must be able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.

Working Conditions:

  • Office/Outdoor Environment – sitting at a desk, physical requirements, such as climbing, standing, stooping, or typing. Ability to lift 5-20 pounds occasionally. Exposed to outdoor weather conditions.
