Senior Mechanical Design Engineer - Tustin, CA

Summary:
Lead engineering team to develop new lines of hydraulic AC / DC circuit / power units.
Design CAD models using SolidWorks adapting DFM/DFA methods.
Issue engineering drawings by utilizing GD&T and accounting for fit, form & function.
Develop Engineering Documents such as testing procedure, instruction, and reports.
Design automatic tests, using PLC, electromechanical devices, and instruments.

Engineering Competencies - Required

1. Perform Solid Modeling, Drawing, and Develop Documentation
2. SolidWorks, AutoCAD 2D (Draft sight, Solid Edge 2D).
3. Fluid Power Schematics.
4. IEC Style Control Schematics.
5. ASME Drawing Standards, ANSI Y14.X.
6. Document project requirements, assumptions, calculations, and results.
7. Document test, troubleshooting, and investigative findings.

Preferred

1. Familiarity with Fluid Power Standards (NFPA, IFPS, ISO, SAE).
2. Perform Hydraulic Power Unit Testing.
3. Manifold Design/Development/Production.
4. Perform Test Data Plotting/Presentation.
5. Perform Test Equipment Development.
6. Familiarity with Material Standards (ASTM).
7. Familiarity with Coating Standards.
8. Perform Test Actuator Force Analysis (statics/dynamics).
9. Perform Test Component, Frame, Assembly Strength Analysis.
10. Integrate sensing and electronic control functions with fluid power components and systems.
11. Cite hands-on experience with fluid power components and systems.
