GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Business Intelligence Developer (BID) designs, develops and maintains decision intelligence solutions, data analytics platforms, and ETL processes throughout the Enterprise Data Warehouse environment. In collaboration with company resources and stakeholders, the BID analyzes requests, forms them into working requirements and delivers visualizations and solutions to enable users to find the information they need and drive a data driven culture. The ideal candidate will be able to run complex queries with multiple joins, have knowledge of relational databases and concepts such as indexes and know the difference between tables and views.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer Science, Finance, Math or related degree or equivalent work experience.
- 3 years experience writing performant SQL.
- To include one (1) year utilizing a data visualization tool such as Tableau, PowerBI, Qlik, etc.
Minimum Knowledge & Experience Requirements:
- Experience working within an Agile (SCRUM, Kanban) project management environment
* Ability to plan and manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
* Ability to interact comfortably with a wide range of stakeholders, from end-user staff through C level
* Proven ability to elicit and document requirements from a diverse group of business stakeholders within an agile environment.Ability to deal effectively and courteously with a wide variety of people
* Detail oriented with strong time management skills

Additional Preferred Education & Experience:
- Experience working with Symitar Episys
* Experience working with financial institutions, or within finance industry
* Knowledge of and/or experience working with ETL concepts and strategies (facilitated by tools such as DataStage, Informatica, SSIS, etc.)
* Experience working with SQL Server and SSRS
* Knowledge of, and/or experience with, Snowflake (Cloud data platform)
* Experience with Arkalytics
* Knowledge of data modeling architecture and design.

WORKING CONDITIONS/ENVIRONMENT:
This job requires the employee to sit or stand for extended periods of time. Infrequent lifting up to 25 lbs.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES AND TASKS:
- Technical Expertise - Will have expertise and knowledge in one or more components of the decision intelligence environment (analysis, data modeling, data visualization, ETL, etc.). Able to concurrently deliver on 1-2 small-scale initiatives in addition to tasks on customer request backlog.
- Business Analysis - Fosters a collaborative relationship across all business functions. Works closely with end user departments to understand business needs and translate them into functional requirements. Tackles large or complicated requests with a high level of accomplishment and accuracy. Will have expertise and knowledge in at least one business domain (Lending, Finance, Core Systems, etc)
- Data Visualization - Specialization in customer-facing, end-to-end, aspects of the data pipeline. Possesses a strong understanding of the underlying data infrastructure to effect development of reports, dashboards, score cards, etc. using data visualization tools.
- Extract / Transform / Load - Evaluate, design, develop, test, implement and maintain ETL strategies from the raw data source layer, into the data warehouse layer and finally for visualization into the reporting layer.
- Best Practices - Adheres to standards, best practices, policies, and procedures pertaining to architecture, security, and compliance/regulatory requirements. Participates in code reviews to advance domain knowledge sharing and ensure code validation.
- Ad hoc reporting such as crafting and executing queries upon request for data, as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Salary range is $62,707.71-$82,303.88. Job Grade, EX 13. Final salary is dependent on candidate's experience and qualifications.
