AAP Staff is currently seeking a skilled CNC Programmer/machinist for a permanent role with our client's dynamic team in Bridgeview, IL. This opportunity is perfect for someone passionate about enhancing manufacturing processes and experienced in CNC programming. The ideal candidate will leverage Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to improve quality, reduce costs, and enhance production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and assess manufacturing processes to support customer prototypes and production for both new and existing products.
  • Utilize Lean and Six Sigma best practices to balance cost and quality effectively.
  • Handle CNC programming, tooling recommendations, and fixture development to optimize production performance.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts, troubleshoot manufacturing issues, and work to reduce waste.
  • Support production teams by implementing standard work methods and ensuring efficient equipment use.
  • Lead initiatives for new product introductions (NPI), process modifications, and validations for successful launches.
  • Create 2D drawings, production fixtures, and CNC programs for both turning and milling operations.
  • Collaborate with customers and suppliers to ensure product specifications are met and processes are reliable.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Manufacturing Engineering preferred) or a minimum of 3 years of machine shop experience.
  • Proficiency in CNC programming (G-code) for Mori, Okuma, and Haas machinery.
  • Hands-on experience in low-volume, high-product-mix production environments.
  • Strong understanding of cutting tools, GD&T, and precision measuring gauges.
  • A proactive self-starter with a collaborative approach and experience in Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000 - $80,000 per year
