Project Engineer - Water/Wastewater

A leading civil engineering firm is looking to add a Project Engineer with 5+ years' experience to their Water/Wastewater and Public Works team within the Austin and San Antonio area. With offices in North Austin (Cedar Park & Leander) , Central & South Austin , as well as an office in San Antonio . They offer a hybrid, flex schedule.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering or related field
• Registered PE in Texas required (or ability to obtain TX PE within 6 months)
• 5-10 years of experience working within public works, including water/wastewater and utilities
• AutoCAD Civil 3D, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS
• Experience with water modeling software (WaterGEMS, InfoWater, or comparable) preferred
• City of Austin experience preferred, but not required

Responsibilities:

• Independently perform engineering tasks in the planning and design of water and wastewater systems including modeling, pipelines, lift and pump stations, and treatment facilities
• Report directly to a Project Manager to perform water and wastewater utility projects
• Partner with project manager and senior staff in maintaining/developing client relationships
• Work within a team of engineers, designers, and technicians as a lead designer
• Responsible for preparation of feasibility studies, design of water, wastewater, and storm sewer facilities
• Conduct hydraulic model analyses, water and wastewater pipeline planning, and system design
• Hydraulic modeling experience preferred using one or more of the following design tools: InfoWorks, WaterGEMS, WaterCAD, and/or Civil 3D
