VNF Systems Engineer

Description:

Architects/developers to design and develop microservices to support VNF Tenant Management functions.

Locations: San Ramon and New Jersey

1. Requires strong developers with hands-on experience developing Virtualized Network Functions (VNFs).
2. Detailed knowledge and experience with layer 3 network services, background in transport multiplexers, working across layers 1-3.
3. Experience in network monitoring, management, and analytics a plus.
4. Experience with scripting languages, such as Python.
5. Resources will be responsible for building 3 primary functions:

1. VNF configuration audits and validation: VNF tenant passive and active checks.
2. VNF network verification testing – verify the network resources and connectivity required for a given VNF against the VNF specs.
3. VNF behavior and event watchdog – monitor the VNF during specific activities (sw upgrade, installation, etc.) and compare against a template of expected behavior to make sure the VNF is operating within expected boundary conditions.
