Position Description:
The person selected for this role will be expected to create engaging, “sticky” analytic interfaces for an artificial intelligence (AI) platform.
Responsibilities:
- Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product managers and engineers
- Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps
- Design graphic user interface elements, like menus, tabs and widgets
- Build page navigation buttons and search fields
- Develop UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites function and look like
- Prepare and present rough drafts to internal teams, key stakeholders, and clients
- Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g. responsiveness)
- Adjust UI based on user feedback
Skills:
- Group facilitation of groups as small as two (2) and as large as fifty (50)
- Experience wireframing and Prototyping using tools like Figma, Adobe XD, and Sketch
- 3+ years of experience applying user research and testing user interfaces
- Knowledgeable of web accessibility best practices and legal compliance frameworks such as the Americans with Disabilities Act and Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act
Requirements:
- Formal education in visual design principles and tools
- Must hold a TOP SECRET//SCI with counterintelligence polygraph
Ideal candidate will:
- Be an excellent public speaker with experience presenting to a C-suite level audience
- Have experience in the Department of Defense or Intelligence Community.
