The Rewarded Ads team is building a new and exciting product offering that enables advertisers to offer rewards to consumers when they shop on Amazon. This is an exciting direction in the Advertising world as it creates a win-win for both the advertisers and consumers. We are looking for an experienced Sr. Software Engineer passionate about leading the development of scalable and maintainable software. As a technical leader, you will collaborate with the Product Manager, Software Development Managers, and Amazon Advertising teams on setting technical vision, design, implementation, delivery, and operations of various features within Rewarded Ads. This is a great opportunity to influence the direction of technology development, engineering culture, and day-to-day practices. As a Sr. Engineer, you'll guide and mentor the development team in best software development practices and Amazon's day one culture, raising the bar for innovation, creativity, quality, and customer obsession.

Rewarded Ads is a quickly evolving product built on top of a modern tech stack. We have high potential to identify opportunities for new ad products, experiment, incubate, and scale the most successful ideas. Our products change the way advertisers interact with Amazon Advertising. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Experience in Ads technology and product
- Experience in building and integrating with high-scale services
- Knowledge of software development methodology and tools, with demonstrated experience in a developer role
- Excellent communication, collaboration, reporting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
