Exciting Opportunity for a Structural Engineer/Project Manager in the DC-Metro Area!
This ever-growing firm has recently begun its search for an experienced Project Manager to join its Repair & Restoration Division, with offices across Virginia, Washington DC and Florida. You will be involved in projects regarding structural design, investigation, analysis, detailing and inspections.

The Role:
As a structural engineer & Project Manager within the Repair & Restoration Division your role will be to manage projects for the evaluation, investigation and repair of existing structures, in response to the needs of clients. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a deep understanding of the technical aspects of structural engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
- Structural Repair and Strengthening: Oversee projects focused on repairing and reinforcing structural elements to ensure safety and longevity.
- Temporary Shoring Design: Coordinate and supervise temporary shoring solutions to support structures during repairs or modifications.
- Waterproofing, Roof, and Building Envelope Consulting: Manage comprehensive waterproofing and building envelope consulting services, ensuring that projects meet the highest standards of durability and performance.
- Bidding and Contract Administration: Lead the bidding process, manage contracts, and ensure that all project elements align with client expectations and regulatory requirements.
- Material Testing: Oversee material testing processes to guarantee the quality and suitability of materials used in construction and repair projects.
- Third Party Inspections: Coordinate third-party inspections to verify the integrity and compliance of completed work.
Role Requirements:
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering or a related field with a strong focus on structural design; a Master’s degree is an added advantage
- Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience in structural design or related field.
- Professional License: Have acquired your Professional Engineer License (P.E), in the process of acquiring (E.I.T) or related License (S.E)
- Technical Expertise: Solid understanding of steel, concrete, masonry, and wood design, along with proficiency in structural analysis.
- Skills: Strong organizational abilities and excellent communication skills, essential for effective collaboration and project management.
- Work Environment: Capable of thriving in a fast-paced setting, managing multiple tasks efficiently
- Field Work: Willingness to perform field investigations and inspections, with the ability to travel to job sites across the U.S. as needed.
