Civil Engineer (Land Development)

We are working with several A&E, Multi-Discipline, and Civil Engineering Firms in Charlotte, NC looking for Civil Engineers specialized in Land / Site Development.

Our clients are hiring candidates with various levels of prior experience with preference to candidates with 3+ years of experience who are / are on track to become a professional engineer.

Typical projects includes single family, mixed-use residential, commercial, hospitality, education, healthcare, recreation/parks, public infrastructure, etc..

What you will do:

• Grading, utility, roadway, domestic water, sanitary sewer and storm sewer drainage system design.
• Prepare complex studies, reports, plans, specifications, quantities, and cost estimates for projects.
• Prepares and monitors project budgets and responsible for project schedules and the timely completion of projects
• Prepare permit applications and submittals
• Participate in presentations, interviews, and project and client meetings

Key skills and abilities needed for the positions are:

• Must be capable of performing independent design tasks, reviewing the designs of others, preparing bid documents including drawings and specifications, and organizing all drawings, reports, calculations, and associated project deliverables, after receiving initial instructions from project manager, while receiving limited supervision.
• Must possess good interpersonal skills to effectively interface with clients and Local, State, and Federal government agencies and be capable to lead project progress meetings, make project presentations, and provide clear written communications.
• Skilled in the use of Civil 3D, Stormwater management, and ArcGis;

Education and experience requirements are:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• EIT / PE license a plus
