Staff Data Engineer

Staff Data Engineer - Boston, MA - Hybrid

A green-tech company is working to have a greater impact on climate change by helping companies assess their overall global footprint. As a leader in their space, they're growing the team and looking to bring on a Staff Data Engineer.

What you'll do:

1. Design and build new big data systems centered on AWS and Postgres
2. Construct datalake solutions
3. Build highly scalable data software using Python, AWS, Postgres, Redshift, and Lambda
4. Partner with DevOps teams to design infrastructure necessary to support big data computing needs
5. Build data integration capabilities to load large volumes of data
6. Directly impact our clients with data software

Who you are:

1. Expert in big data using AWS and Snowflake technologies
2. Familiar with SaaS applications
3. Expert in cloud engineering with an emphasis on AWS
4. Hands-on experience with Postgres
5. Experience with caching strategies using technologies like Redis, Memcache, and ElasticSearch is a plus!
6. Familiarity with Python and Spark
7. Ability to work effectively as a contributor in a technical team environment
8. Ability to mentor and lead team members in a technical capacity
