Third Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for safety of crew, environment and engine room as well as his/her own safety.
• Attends and participates in all pre-tour, post tour and weekly safety meetings.
• Responsible for the watch in the Engine Control Room. Supervises other personnel on watch and to assure the proper power distribution on the MODU.
• Responsible for bunkering, transferring fuel, water and other fluids safely and efficiently.
• Maintains the order, cleanliness and housekeeping at mechanical sites.
• Maintains the mechanical equipment when required by the Chief Engineer/Second Engineer.
• Assists the Chief Engineer (STCW III/2) and 2nd Engineer / 1st Assistant Engineer (STCW III/2) to ensure that all safety critical equipment onboard the MODU is maintained and tested to safety policies, standards and procedures, Class Rules and Flag State Regulations.

REQUIRED Certifications:

• BOSIET w/ CA-EBS ( THUET NOT ACCEPTED )
• Marine License (Liberian or Marshall Islands Endorsement)
• RigPass/Safegulf
• Slinging & Rigging
• Rescue at Heights

Preferred Certifications:

• Seaman's Book
• TWIC
