We are recruiting a process controls engineer to join a stable and growing engineering company that values its employees and seeks to improve customer outcomes through innovative technology application. In this role you will be challenged to solve complex problems and help large companies transform the automation of their combustion processes.
The process controls engineer will develop, deliver, maintain, and optimize state-of-the-art automation solutions for a wide variety of customers in process industries including; Life Sciences, Chemical, Refining, Power Generation, Metal & Mining, Oil & Gas, Biorefining, and more.
Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop the project scope during initial phase of projects
  • Perform design studies for boiler controls and burner management systems
  • Develop control system designs and documentation during project implementation
  • Review designs with internal and external teams
  • Implementation of the design into the Control System DCS
  • Internal and external testing of control system
  • Develop process simulation
  • Provide operator training
  • Support sales with demonstrations and presentations for boiler control applications
  • Process equipment installation and startup
  • Conduct boiler tuning
  • Travel to customer facilities

Preferable Skills, Education, Experience:
  • B.S. Degree in Chemical, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • Experience in the control system engineering field with on-site control system engineering and instrumentation experience
  • Experience in Boiler Tuning and Burner Management System Implementation preferred
  • Detailed knowledge of NFPA codes 85 and 86
