Business Objects Developer

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Business Objects Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing, developing, and maintaining Business Objects universes and reports. You will work closely with business analysts and end-users to understand their requirements and translate them into effective BI solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Universe Design and Development: Create and maintain Business Objects universes, ensuring they meet business requirements and performance standards.
• Report Development: Design, develop, and deploy complex reports and dashboards using the Business Objects suite.
• Data Integration: Connect universes and reports to various data sources, including relational databases.
• Performance Optimization: Optimize universes and reports for performance and scalability.
• Documentation: Ensure all systems and solutions are well-documented, including technical specifications and user guides.
• Collaboration: Work with other developers, business analysts, and end-users to validate and refine BI solutions.
• Support: Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for existing BI solutions.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in Business Objects development, with a focus on universe design and report development.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in SAP Business Objects, SQL, and data modeling. Experience with performance tuning and optimization.
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with other BI tools and platforms.
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and methodologies.
• Certification in SAP Business Objects.
