About the role
We're seeking a Senior UX Designer to shape the future of proptech for the US market. We are entering a phase where we will start a behavioral change by delivering new tech to property managers and on-site staff, which will require extra focus on contextual user research, observations, and testing to ensure we build usable and easy-to-learn products.
As the Senior UX Designer, you will be driving this research and curating the insights into design solutions together with the product team.
This is a unique opportunity to step into an industry that’s in an early-stage tech phase where you can have a huge impact. We consider customer experience a clear and critical differentiator closely connected to our strategic ambition to transform the global property management industry.
You’ll join a small global UX design team led by the Head of CX & UX in Sweden. Your main work will be as a key contributor in the US Product team, working closely with the developers in Sweden.
Your role will include the following key tasks:
- Plan and lead UX research efforts, including on-site observations, contextual interviews, usability testing, and data analysis, to understand user needs and pain points.
- Translate research insights into actionable design solutions, user flows, wireframes, and prototypes.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure designs align with business goals and technical feasibility.
- Design both customer-facing services with a high focus on usability and intuitiveness, and internal employee-facing tools with a strong focus on expert needs and efficiency.
- Create user journey maps, workflows, personas, day-in-the-life scenarios, and use case summaries to help deepen the organizational understanding of our users.
- Connect everything we design to customers’ needs AND business goals and relentlessly communicate the connection between them to the organization.
- Measure and assess customer satisfaction using quantitative and qualitative feedback mechanisms.
Who you are
You are a strong communicator who loves sharing research insights to raise empathy and understanding of the user’s context, needs, and drivers. You have experience with many different techniques and tools that can be used to do this. You are a quality-driven team player who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment where you can continuously learn and improve.
- You are energized by motivating people, enjoy showing them what the future can look like, and thrive when helping them get there.
- You put collaboration at the center to find the best ideas and solutions together.
- You adapt your approach based on the situation at hand and work collaboratively, helping other teams as needed.
- You enjoy working in a business that is constantly evolving and where you have the freedom to take initiative.
- You strive for quality in everything you do and always want to deliver your best. You are a team player and are not concerned with prestige.
- You are biased towards action and are curious, continually thinking of ways to make improvements.
- You have excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
Experience
Most importantly, you share our values and feel excited about our journey. However, to succeed in this role, we believe that you have experience within:
- Leading UX design from insight through implementation and evaluation of both customer-facing and internal employee digital experiences.
- Leading design for web, desktop applications, and native mobile experiences.
- Experience working with Figma.
- Proven track record of delivering market-leading design solutions with strategic impact.
- Working with CX/service design – focusing on the full customer journey including research/data gathering – taking both physical and digital interactions into the design process.
- 10 years of professional experience working and driving UX research (both quantitative and qualitative) and digital product design.
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human Factors Engineering, Interaction Design, Graphic Design, or related field; or commensurate experience.
- Using data and qualitative insights to identify trends and assess customer satisfaction.
- Bonus points if you have experience in the real estate or homeowners' association industry.
- Bonus points if you have experience with PropTech or FinTech.
- Must be fluent in English and Spanish, as many of our target users are only Spanish speaking.
